Guowu est un grand gaillard, dont le regard jovial et observateur m’avait interpellé lorsqu’il est venu au 55 rue de Bellechasse en septembre 2016. Il m’a alors présenté son travail à l’encre de chine et aquarelles, dans lequel, fort d’une parfaite maîtrise des techniques et traditions, il réussit à se jouer de codes ainsi que des limites du genre, pour créer des œuvres sensibles, tendres et joueuses. Le professeur de l’académie de Guangdong a su conserver cette flamme de liberté qui est la marque des grands artistes. Guowu is a big fellow, whose jovial and observant gaze appealed to me when he came to 55 rue de Bellechasse in September 2016. He then presented me with his work in Indian ink and watercolors, in which, With a perfect mastery of techniques and traditions, he succeeds in playing with codes and the limits of the genre, to create sensitive, tender and playful works. The teacher from the Guangdong academy has managed to keep that flame of freedom that is the hallmark of great artists.
