Parfois une simple image suffit à nous donner l’impression qu’un artiste peut émerger. Cela en tout cas motive à trouver et vouloir découvrir qui est l’artiste, son parcours et ce qui l’engage dans ce métier si compliqué. C’est ce que j’ai ressenti quand Zhenzhong m’a présenté son travail sur l’écran de son téléphone mobile. Depuis, à chaque fois que Jia apporte à la galerie de nouvelles œuvres de ce trentenaire, c’est la même impression qui domine. Où trouve-t-il ces formes, couleurs, compositions… ? Que nous réserve-t-il ? Nous ne sommes pas les premiers à l’exposer et certains musées en Chine et ailleurs commencent à l’intégrer dans leurs collections. Bref, si vous appréciez, profitez de l’occasion rare de le rencontrer pendant 5 Chinois à Paris et n’attendez pas pour le collectionner.

Sometimes a simple image is enough to give us the impression that an artist can emerge. In any case, this motivates to find and want to discover who the artist is, his background and what engages him in this complicated profession. This is how I felt when Zhenzhong presented his work to me on the screen of his mobile phone. Since then, every time Jia brings new works from the 30-something to the gallery, the same impression prevails. Where does he find these shapes, colors, compositions…? What does it have in store for us? We are not the first to exhibit it and some museums in China and elsewhere are starting to include it in their collections. In short, if you like, take the rare opportunity to meet him for 5 Chinese in Paris and don’t wait to collect him.
